European youth exchange project
UN-DUST: A European Exchange for Young Creatives
UN-DUST is a European exchange project that invites young people to rethink the role of theaters and cultural spaces as places of learning, inclusion, and active participation. Designed for participants aged 18 to 26, the project provides an opportunity to explore how diversity shapes cultural life and how artistic spaces can become more accessible and engaging for everyone.
The initiative brings together young people from Italy, Slovenia, and Serbia, creating a space where they can exchange ideas, develop new skills, and contribute to making cultural environments more inclusive. Theaters and cultural centers will serve as laboratories for creativity, dialogue, and participation, offering a unique setting for young people to engage with contemporary social issues through the arts.
A Hands-On Experience in Cultural Participation
Participants will take part in a variety of activities, including workshops with artistic communities, non-formal education sessions, and interactive events. The program includes theater and dance-based methodologies, discussions on diversity and inclusion, and opportunities to engage in creative co-planning processes. Through guided visits, group discussions, and collaborative artistic projects, participants will actively shape new strategies for making cultural spaces more welcoming.
As part of the project, a collective toolkit will be developed to document best practices in fostering inclusivity in the arts. This resource will be shared among cultural institutions and policymakers, ensuring that the insights and experiences gained during the exchange have a lasting impact beyond the duration of the project.
