About the performance
(Primarily) a mono trip comedy … okay, a bad trip comedy
A cold February evening. A massive apartment block with 6,000 flats on the outskirts of a colossal city in a very large country. Lost couriers, dealers hiding packages and their customers, night taxi drivers who have given up on finding a way out of the labyrinthine courtyards. Frozen high-rises, a wind that carries away the last fragments of sanity, sharp snowflakes that sting the skin, the relentless hum of elevators that never stop.
Along the only road—dug up due to a burst pipe—the protagonist rushes to the local equivalent of Craigslist to pick up her purchase: a large suitcase, just in case. Just in case—though it seems almost impossible that, come morning after this icy February night, war will begin.
A strange journey through a psychedelic world of endless staircases and countless floors turns into a failed attempt to escape painful questions: Could the morning after this freezing February night have been different? When did we screw everything up? Can the world you know and love go insane in a single night? Or is something wrong with you?
