About the show

A strange rebellion against powerlessness, death and a life of misery. Masks, puppets, machines, shadows, live music on stage. A pair of bizarre outsiders play out a grand finale in a phantasmagorical bravura piece full of dark humour, cruelty and tenderness that unfolds in a mosaic of powerful poetic images. A hymn to all those who live their lives despite their own bodies and the misfortunes of fate.

Líšeň Theatre is an independent experimental theatre working at the intersection of puppets, masks, objects, movement and sound. It also focuses on human rights and political issues. It has a long history of working with Roma dancers and musicians. In our home town of Brno-Líšeň, he is involved in the development of the community in the municipality and was the initiator of the establishment of the association Líšeň sobě.
